Maria Erikson is currently living and working in Helsinki Finland where she is pursuing an MFA degree in printmaking study area from the Academy of Fine Arts. She was rewarded with a Master Printer certificate from Tamarind Institute in May 2015 and has since then kept circling around the Baltic Sea; teaching lithography at the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn and occasionally instructing a lithography workshop at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. Every now and then an exhibition or scholarship takes her back to Sweden where she received her fundamental fine arts education from Grafikskolan. Most recently her work was shown at MFA degree show Kuvan Kevät at Exhibition Laboratory in Helsinki and at Steneby Konstahall in Sweden together with Bolaget Vardagsbilder printshop. Furthermore, her work has been selected to BIECTR print Biennial in Canada and renown MTG International Print Triennial in Krakow Poland.
